Pounds of active ingredient per acre
Acetochlor 1.1 to 3.0
Product quantity per acre
2.25 to 5.0 pt Degree Herbicide, or 1.5 to 3.75 pt Breakfree/Cadence/Overtime/Volley, or 1.25 to 3 pt Harness/Surpass NXT/Volley NXT/Confidence

TopNotch Herbicide and Degree Herbicide are microencapsulated formulations of acetochlor. Soil activity controls most annual grass and small-seeded broadleaf weeds. Rate depends on soil type and preplant or preemergence timing. Apply and incorporate into top 2 inches of soil within 2 weeks of planting, or apply after planting but before corn emerges. Contains a safener for corn. Do not apply through irrigation system. Do not apply aerially. Do not rotate to crops other than corn, sorghum, wheat, or soybean for 12 months. Can be tank mixed with atrazine, Hornet WDG Broadleaf Blend Herbicide, dicamba, and several other herbicides to enlarge spectrum of weeds controlled. Note restrictions on label for depth to groundwater. Follow label directions.

The Pesticide Selector includes suggestions for chemical control of pests in Kansas crops, which are provided by K-State Research and Extension, and may not be relevant for states other than Kansas. We will continue to expand this tool for help in selecting other types of agricultural chemicals, and for other states. Contact the myFields Team if you are interested in contributing content!
