Crop type: Corn
Application type: Postemergence

Pounds of active ingredient per acre
Mesotrione + Atrazine 0.078 to 0.094 + 0.5 to 0.6
Product quantity per acre
1.25 to 1.5 pt Callisto Xtra
Comments and limitations

Callisto Xtra is a restricted-use pesticide for use on field corn, silage corn, and yellow popcorn. Controls broadleaf weeds. Apply Callisto Xtra after crop emergence but before corn exceeds 12 inches in height. Apply with COC at 1% v/v (do not use MSO). You may add AMS at 8.5 to 17 lb/100 gal spray solution. Temporary crop response may occur under extreme weather conditions when crop is under stress. Can be applied with glyphosate in glyphosate-tolerant corn (refer to glyphosate label for proper adjuvant use). Do not apply to corn that has been treated with Counter or Lorsban (organophosphate) inseticides, as severe crop injury may occur. Can rotate to all corn or grain sorghum immediately and to alfalfa, barley, canola, cotton, potatoes, soybean, sunflower, and wheat the spring following application. All other crops can be planted after 18 months. Follow label directions.

The Pesticide Selector includes suggestions for chemical control of pests in Kansas crops, which are provided by K-State Research and Extension, and may not be relevant for states other than Kansas. We will continue to expand this tool for help in selecting other types of agricultural chemicals, and for other states. Contact the myFields Team if you are interested in contributing content!
